The idea for Tehran Book Garden to be constructed in Abbass Abad Hills was suggested after Tehran Municipality, in an attempt to avoid congestion, decided to transfer the site of the annual Tehran Book Fair from the International Trade Fair grounds in North Tehran.
‏The Book Garden Project was constructed in an area of 11 thousand hectares and a built area (consisting of exhibition space, conference halls, and office buildings) of 54 thousand Square meters.
‏To speed up the project’s construction without forsaking quality, Boozarjomehr Industrial Group suggested that, due to the modular dimensions of the structures at the time, modular forms and bridge scaffolds should be used. This was a great help in accelerating the assembly and dismounting operations during the project. The modular components were assembling as pieces of a puzzle at any point, and in one part of the structure, were provided in triangular patterns for easier arrangement.
